Dear colleagues and students,
This is Nadia, the Spanish Language Assistant. I am already in my home country; I just arrived here a few days ago. Before coming back to Spain I had a lot of time to think about my experience in Malta, evaluating the good and the bad moments of this year spent there in your country.
My conclusion was that there was only one very bad moment: the moment of saying goodbye. I have always loved travelling because I love meeting new people and discovering new places and my stay in Malta has been an incredibly amazing experience. Travelling and learning new languages make people more tolerant and independent. Not only do they learn about the history and the culture of other countries, but they also learn to reflect upon their own one. It also improves our memory and our ability to express ourselves and communicate with others, two very important skills in a working environment. For this reason, I want to encourage all my students and also the ones who have the opportunity of studying Spanish in the future to keep studying this wonderful language, now spoken by 400 million people worldwide. It has been a pleasure for me to share my language and my culture with you and I strongly suggest to you to visit Spain or South America to practice what you have learned and have the same experience I had this year. Both teachers and students always made me feel at home and thanks to you, this has been one of the best years of my life. I wish you the very best and I look forward to meet you again soon.
Un abrazo para todos,
Nadia.
